Introduction:
Please read the rules before participating in the Teen Titan: DC Universe Rpg site.

1 ) How do you start?
Before you can get started, you will first have to create an account. Creating an account is easy. First you have to click the 'Register' button on the top of the website and fill in your desired account name, password and your e-mail address. When this is a done, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you specified. Inside that mail you will find a link. Click/Follow this link and your account will be activated.

After this, take a look around the site. Check how everything is noted down, look at a few posts to see how people roleplay and interact, before creating your character. This will give you the general feel of how things work and the knowledge will help you navigate through the site with ease. When you think you're ready to start on your character application, go to the ''Character Database'' Category, and click on the 'Introduce your character' sub-category. In a 'sticky' there will be a Character Template that you will use to provide information about your character. Please use this template, any other template will be rejected. Without a character, you cannot join roleplays made by other members nor can you create one yourself.

So far, all you can do is look around, read posts, reply in the chat rooms, enter the chatbox, and edit your profile. While you wait for your character to be approved you can personalize your profile with your birthday date, location, an avatar and a personal signature.

Creating Your Character:
2 ) Character Application
Now that you have successfully created an account, it is time to create your own character!

Whenever you start making a character but do not have the time to finish it, you can still post it. If you do so, please add '(WIP)' in the title. This stands for Work in Progress, and assures us you are not done yet. When you are, a Moderator or Administrator will review your application. Removing (WIP) from your application indicates that you are finished and will allows us to approve or reject your application. This is done by simply editing the application and removing it from the title. What should always remain in the Title is the name/nickname of the character (in my case, Moonshine).

Of course, there's also the possibility you want to roleplay as a canon character. Canon characters are basically the characters already existing in the Teen Titans and DC Universe (ex: Beast Boy,Wonder Women ) or any character that is a DC character. If you can not find him/her in the DC Database Online you can not play them. You are allowed to portray one canon character, but some special rules apply for this, and you're advised to do so when you are an experienced roleplayer.

An individual member is allowed a maximum of 3 characters per account, with a one account maximum. Exceeding this limit will unfortunately result in deletion of account or decisive penalty.

3 ) Character approval terms
Original Characters:
Whenever you have created an application profile for your Original Character and have completed it, a Moderator or Admin will read it through when he or she has time. They will look for a few key points: Personality, Affiliation (Good/Neutral/Evil) and Powers. These affect most of your characters actions and possibilities, but logically, everything else will be looked at as well. One of the things that will be looked at is the strength of your character. Strength in terms meaning how much use his power is in every situation, how it can be used or possibly abused.
A character may be strong, but there's a thin line between a good strong character and one that is overpowering in many aspects. As stated earlier, it's a flexible process, but if you feel like you need a guideline of sorts, keep in mind that a character would have a maximum of four powers. When writing about the powers you will need to provide information on the extent of these powers. The Character Template in 'Introduce your Character' will help provide a better example of what is needed in your character application. Those in charge of the reviewing process will also look at other aspects to see if your character is well put together. It needs to be a real character, not a combination of some random facts. For example, if you would have an alien mother and an other alien father and your character would be a human, then that would certainly raise some questions.

If a Moderator or Administrator does not think a profile is adequate enough, they will ask the creator to either elaborate on things, clear things up, or simply fix the application.Their reply will have all the information you should need to further your application. When you have made said changes or answered said questions, they will look over your profile again, repeating the evaluation process until the character is acceptable enough. If they have to do this process more then two times the character will be placed in 'Rejected' in the Character Database. Don't fret! If your application has been rejected you can always go back and fix whatever may have been wrong. However, unlike canon characters, if your character keeps being denied you can not take it to Court.

Whenever a Moderator or Administrator thinks your character is ready to enter the world of DC, they will approve the profile with a positive reply or acceptance stamp. After that, the profile will soon be moved to the 'Active' section in the Character Database.

Canon Character:
The canon application should be very detailed especially in physical description, powers, psychological profile, and personal background. I would prefer that you rewrite everything in your own words but I do understand that some canon characters have so much information that it would be almost impossible to do so. Still, please just try your best to not just copy and paste. The sample rp also needs to portray the character in depth, capturing thoughts, emotions, and actions. Failure to succeed in either complete information or portrayal of character will put your application under rejection. Don't fret! If your application has been rejected you can always go back and fix whatever may have been wrong. After the third attempt if you feel that an Administrator or Moderator is being too harsh on your application it can be brought into the Court of Justice where the whole forum will decide by votes if you can or cannot have the canon.
Reserve your canon before making a character application! Make sure to PM one of the Administrators to reserve the canon you wish to obtain so they will make it apparent on the Canon Character List. If you do not reserve it, it leaves it open for other members.

4 ) Joining a Team?
Your character may want to join a team or even start their own. Well there a few rules for the process of joining or making a team. Not everyone can just ask to join The Justice League or Legion of Doom they have to work their way up to such great societies. The best way of doing so is joining the Titans or H.I.V.E teams stationed all around the world. In there you will learn how to work as a team, control powers, perfect skills, make friends, and grow as a character. How to do this is simple you can join in on battles and be asked to join as a member/guest, or prove in some way that you want to become part of a team. From there you can be recruited and under go tests to prove loyalties. These teams are overlooked by higher, more professional heroes and villains and in some cases they can mentor your character (only if they are willing too). Members in any team can be demoted, promoted, and moved depending on situations of the team.
Ex: If there are to many people in a Titan's Tower your character might be stationed off to another one that has spare rooms or is in need of more members.
Ex: If a character does well in the team and impress their superiors they can be promoted to a higher ranked team or group.
Ex: If the character is out of line and caused trouble for the team they can be kicked out or even banned.
Your character's actions does effect what they do in the future and does effect other characters. You can, if it is reasonable, join different groups but be warned that you must try and participate in both group activities whilst keeping in timeline coordination (your character, unless it's their power, cannot be in two places at once). Any more questions about joining an already existing team should be PMed to one of the Admins.

Creating your own group is accepted here in TT: DC Rpg. Like joining a group you will need to rp recruiting or asking people to join your personal group. Be sure that your group has a motive, name, and area. Once there is about 5 people in your personal group an Admin will make a special spot in the Team Roster area and a spot on whatever plain they all occupy for teams to talk amongst themselves. Some teams will be rejected from being on the Team Roster, usually because the team has not made in impact, is silly, or does not pertain to the super-people world. Any more questions about making a team should be PMed to one of the Admins.

Once a person is accepted into a team they will need to contact an Admin so that their name and link can be provided on the Team Roster. You do NOT have to be on a team to rp. Though joining a team can provide your characters with a sense of community.

General Rules:

5 ) Roleplaying rules
Usually RPG sites have a requirement on how much should be written in a post but here on TT: DC Rpg we don't have set rule as of yet. We would like to see people do a minimal of a paragraph but we understand that sometimes the characters responses may be short and bunt.
We no not allow God modding, Power playing, Constant dodging and Rhino hiding.

What is Godmodding?
Spoiler:
What is Powerplaying?
Spoiler:
What is Ninjadodging?
Spoiler:
What is Rhinohiding?
Spoiler:

-We would like to be a PG-13 website. Don't go to far in certain scenes or general topics on the site. Though I do understand that we are DC Universe we do not need to have full blown sex scenes or overly gruesome posts or threads. Keep it reasonable and in good taste.

-Your character MAY NOT rule the world.

-You may not kill off your or other characters without their consent or of that of a Mod/Admin. This is so that people won't be killing off and making new characters or unfairly killing another persons character. Remember keep things reasonable.

-Your character may be in as much threads as possible, but needs to know which one happened first. Messing up the chronological order can get messy and give brainaches

-Your character may NOT overly swear on this site. Even if it is a quirk of your character, a swear here and there is no problem, but it's extremely distracting if done more then once or two in a big post, even if you are a skilled roleplayer. As a member, try to be a bit polite at the very least. Politeness pays off and ushers in respect from other members. It's much more pleasant roleplaying with polite people.

More rules may be added if the need for them arises.

6 ) Chatbox rules
- Don't harass other members. Really, don't do it. You can talk about generally whatever you want, but if it becomes a problem and members tell you to stop, do so. If an Admin gets multiple complaints about harassment about a member the harasser will be instantly banned from chat box until proven guilty.

- Keep it clean. I don't mind profanity, but when it's being used every other word, we have a problem. Violating these rules will have the violator banned from chat box for 3 days.

- A little flirting is fine, but cybering is a big, big problem. If I catch ANYONE cybering in the cbox, BOTH parties will be banned immediately from the cbox for a duration of a week. No questions asked, no penalties raised.

- No religious discussion. Sorry, we may have a whole lot of Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists and Atheists etc on here and we all have our beliefs and practices and no one has any right to criticize them. Some people are more sensitive than others, so even if you say say something you don't deem offensive, it might be so to another person. Hence, any and all discussion about religion is banned. If you wanna debate, take it to PMs. If I catch you, it has the same penalty as cybering. Anyone violating this rule will be banned from chat box for 3 days.

- Keep everything PG-13. You should all know what that means.

- The user of the account through which any of the above rules were violated, is at all times responsible of anything that occurs with his/her account. Hackers, little brothers, retarded kittens, possessing Symbiotes, or mysterious glitches are not any excuse.

- Most important, have fun, even while chatting! That's the point of this RPG, and by extension the cbox, and that's why we're all here! Don't hamper other people's fun. Someone who isn't having fun isn't someone who wants to stay here.

7 ) Expected Behavior
– Be polite. If you know others personally, they will understand all things you say, but on sites, you meet a lot of strangers, and all you know about them is their preferred nicknames/account name. Don't be a jerk on your first trip to the Chatbox or any thread. In character is one thing, out of character is another. As said before if it gets out of hand you can be banned for 3 days to permanently.

– Do not harass other members. If members do not want to talk in the Chatbox, or do not feel like Pming, do not harass or flame them for this. Each member has his or her own life to attend to. Likewise, do not bury them in endless PM's when they do not reply within 24 hours on any PM or thread you posted in.

– Be patient. TT: DC Rpg doesn't enforce any time limits. When you have posted your character, do not throw a fit when the profile has not been assessed within 24 hours.

– Discussions are alright in general, but do not start pointless discussions time and time again, and do not start these within threads. Take it to an appropriate place, such as the Chat Room sub-board.

8 ) Reporting
When reporting someone it should be sent to the TT: DC Rpg email which is located on Moonshine's profile. Do NOT put the report in the Report section in the forum, the Admin will do that.

Reasons to Report someone:
-Multiple forms of Harassment
-Major violations of rules (TT:DC Rpg/Forumotion)
-Character Application differences

The email should be in great detail of what is going on. Preferably with hardcore evidence and another person to back up the story. If the evidence lacks the most Admins can do is regulate and evaluate the situation and it will not go to court. With the right wording and evidence it can be instantly be taken to Court. For the accused a complete email of defending yourself is also needed with good evidence that you were being a good member. Without this you may have a harder time winning the case. Also having someone backing you up who was there during the situation would help the accused.

The Report section is used to describe in full of what offenses someone has done or what is wanting to get sent to The Court of Justice. The report will have information on who the topic is on, why, the evidence sent, how the topic will be handled, and on what day. If the accused or the accuser has a problem with the dates they need to send a PM to the Admin as soon as they can.

9 ) Court Rules
The Court is for the whole forum to decide how certain things will be handled. It can be in forms of discussion and polls. Usually after the results of the forum the Admins will weigh the opinions of the forum and mix them in with site rules, facts, evidence, and judgement.

Usually Court days will only last for 3 days and the Admin's will try and get the answer in about 2 days or less. If the accused does not stand up for themselves in an email 'which will be recorded in the Report' the accuser wins the case and the accused will deal with the punishment. We do not want a problem to be solved in an untimely manner, instead we prefer that the problem be solved as soon as possible.

Whatever topic is being reviewed has a time limit (3 days minimal). If you miss the polls or the discussion and the topic is being weighed by Admins then your vote or say is not taken into account. If you want to participate be sure to be logged in and voting on the days that it is available. If no one votes during the days given then it is the Admin's choice.
