A Pleasant Picnic (Ix)

Banana was humming happily as she floated with her sisters towards a lush field, their father walking with them, &#$@ family had decided to go on a picnic together and enjoy this lovely summers day, putting a blanket down under &#$@ shade of an oak tree &#$@ family sat down and began eating happily, Banana looking over to &#$@ tall grass nearby 'I wonder if there are any field mice in there...mice are so cute' she thought with a smile as she took a bite into her pepperoni sandwich.

Shiraal had heard them approaching five by the sound of it. Five humans, four of them smelled funny though... and they had food. He stirred from his slumber in a nearby tree and went down to the ground on the other side. He stayed down on the ground moving through the grass silently and stealthily. He stopped when he was eight feet away, his body hidden in the tall grass, but if they had the senses of most animals they would be able to tell that there was a predator nearby and watching them. A very large one.

Banana's head looked to the grass suddenly, her eyes narrowing as she finished her sandwich and walked over towards the tall grass, slowly walking into it and keeping an eye on where her feet were.

Shiraal felt her approach him and looked up he slithered around quietly avoiding her feet but she could hear the rustling in the grass nearby. Shi watched her curiously wondering what her reaction would be. Most humans tried to attack him, that never ended up going well.

Banana was a little jumpy and looked around her, seeing the the grass shift around her "c'mon little snakey, its okay, I won't hurt you" she said softly, thinking it must have been a python or something in the grass.

Shi rose up in front of her suddenly he was only three feet away and looked straight in her eyes his amber slitted eyes looking straight into her.

Banana looked surprised and stared right back into his eyes with her deep purple ones, she didn't feel fear more...curiosity, her sisters had suddenly looked to her "Sis!" they yelled as Banana put a hand out to them to stop them "hello...I'm Banana" she said softly with a calm smile to the large snake.

Shiraal watched her for a moment and sniffed the air before saying with a slight hiss. "I am Shiraal." He looked at her interested unusual behavior for a soft one. This warranted further investigations.

Banana sat down in-front of Shiraal "nice to meet you" she said happily, she stared up at him with her smile "I've never seen a being like you before" she added.

"There are no more like me." Shiraal responded with still looking into her eyes and no where else, his hood wasn't extended so he just appeared to be a brown and yellow snake for now.

Banana frowned at what Shiraal said "I'm sorry" she said softly before she stood up, still staring back into his eyes "may we talk somewhere? I would love to find our more about you" she said calmly.

Shi looked at her rather surprised and asked. "You are wanting to talk to me? Yes I can go with you to talk." He seemed genuinely surprised at this and started heading toward the trees glancing back to see if she followed.

Banana followed him with a smile "I want to know everything about you, for some reason you intregue me" she said smiling as she sat with him happily.

Shiraal glanced back and slithered around a tree up it's trunk slightly. "I will try to help you learn about me then. You should know I was born alone though so I don't know anything other than what I've put together myself."

Banana nodded "yes of course" she said "so...being a giant snake does that give you any...powers?" she asked.

[Ix]

Shiraal just looked at her curiously for a few moments then the tree began to groan before being crushed in his coils. "I'm very strong, poisonous, and I can change the nature of things. Does being not human give you powers?" He was curious about her, why was that the first thing she asked about.

Banana nodded "I also have super human strength and I have firebreath along with laser eyes and I can also fly" she said happily.

Shiraal nodded and slithered toward her slightly. He glanced at the tree and his eyes turned white before all that was left was a block of coal about 5 feet across. "That is what I meant by changing things."

Banana nodded "thats so cool!" she said smiling as she began feeling Shiraal's scales "I love snakes" she said.

Shi hissed softly in surprise and moved closer to her. "You are unusual then. I'm usually attacked." He pointed to a couple scars in his body from gun shots.

Banana frowned "I promise not to ever attack you" she said before placing a hand on his skin and squeezing it softly "so smooth" she said, stroking his skin happily.

Shiraal began to coil around her slowly as he enjoyed her attentions. "I should stay near you then. You are not spoken for?"

Banana sighed happily as she rubbed his skin "if you mean spoken for as in dating anyone then no, I'm not spoken for" she said smiling.

[Ix]

Shiraal said. "May I stay, you can call me a pet if you would like." he closed his eyes coiling around her hand slightly.

Banana chuckled as she snuggled into his skin "yes, I'd love to keep you, but not as a pet, I'll call you by your name" she said, rubbing her cheek against his scales.
